- This gives me the opportunity to undertake Reserve Officer training modules.- I have improved my leadership skills under stressful situations.- I have been able to take part in charity sports events and improved my confidence and team-work skills.

- GU Rocketry is a student based society at the University of Glasgow.- My role is to lead a small team and manage non-technical projects.- Example projects include running the social media, organising online talks from industry and the planning of a New Space conference

- Design, Build, Fly is an international competition hosted by AIAA to design, build and then test fly an RC aircraft.- I am on the aerodynamics team, where I get to apply my knowledge from the classroom into a real environment.- Get to improve my team-work, creativity and technical analysis skills.

- I was the MATLAB Student Ambassador for the University of Glasgow.- My role is to organise various events promoting the use of MATLAB within the University.- Previous events include teaching fellow students about Machine Learning in MATLAB- I get to work alongside fellow ambassadors from all over the world.

- Developed an algorithm that used machine learning techniques to design a device capable of emitting THz waves.- Device was based on a BSCCO intrinsic Josephson junction.- MATLAB was used to build and develop a neural network.- COMSOL Multiphysics simulation software was used to validate results.- Worked in a team with PhD students and Masters students, however all work was individually my own.

- Initiative to provide computer and technology training to older/isolated members of the community during the first coronavirus lockdown.- My role was to develop a syllabus that our mentees could work through.- I organised meetings, deadlines and managed the workflow of my team.

- I was a student in the reserve RAF Squadron attached to the University.- This gave me the opportunity to partake in flying sorties.- I had various responsibilities here, including managing their social media team and organising charity drives to support Poppy Scotland, Shelter and Horatio’s Garden at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.- I improved my leadership skills, team-building, public speaking abilities and adventurous training skills.
