Worked KVM running on CentOS and Rocky Linux and Ansible to create a Kubernetes Cluster to set up a containerized system providing Hybrid Cloud services for customers. Worked as a team, to which I contributed and mentored younger staff, but was also provided with tasks which I was left to complete on my own and make the decisions to provide an MVP for review at Sprint end.Worked in a team of two using AWS Lambda to create a set of serverless backend applications. This involved creating multiple scripts in Node.js.

Worked on customer’s sites installing and advising on Red Hat Satellite 5 and Red Hat Satellite 6. This would require me to visit sites, help with the installation, then provide training for staff to use the product.Set up a system to allow a customer to spin up stand-alone VMs using Packer and Vagrant. This was a ole project where I was given guidelines and then asked to solve the problem.

Worked with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 6 & 7 to build both physical and virtual servers, using ESXi and vCentre for the virtualisation.Installed and deployed Red Hat Satellite 5 and Red Hat Satellite 6 across multiple domains. This included building an upstream and downstream server and the ‘sheep-dip’ to allow data to be transferred on to a restricted network.Used the Satellite system to build and patch servers, requiring the configuration of build profiles, kickstart scripts and shell scripts. The shell scripts were used to install domain related packages and to harden servers and services.Installed and maintained McAfee Virus Scan Command Line over both Red Hat and Solaris servers. Ensuring that the AV was updated as required by the customer.Configured the system to pass back all the VSCL data along with any data held on the McAfee ePO servers to a central repository. Using LAMP produced a portal which could be accessed by management to review the state of the AV system across the whole estate.Created detailed documentation for both administrators and users. This included OS and application installation as well as fault fixing.Worked in a sustainment role to resolve issues with existing servers.Worked in a delivery capacity to create servers for new projects as required.Created custom-built rpm packages for the Satellite system to roll out updates to servers.Built an automated system to install RHEL 5, Oracle and the application on to laptops issued to users for deploymentCreated a web-based toolbox for use on the deployed laptops to allow users to carry out such work as AV scans, system backups and system recovery, the latter of which was used on a number of occasions successfully.Created various web portals using HTML, PHP and Shell script to allow various systems to be monitored by administrators.Created an automated mailing system that sent, received and processed information files.Was designated as the Subject-matter expert on multiple systems.
