Also engineering lead on the Severn Bridges contract for Highways England, including the Severn, Prince of Wales and Avonmouth bridges. Also engineering and technical lead on Amey's world leading digital smart bridge management and monitoring systems, working closely with Amey's in-house developers and data scientists

Responsible for all engineering and technical matters. Overseeing a team carrying out a wide range of inspection, assessment, design, repair, enhancement and asset management projects. Heavily focused on making full use of latest technologies to support the operation and maintenance of the bridge.

Ewan joined Amey in 2007 from Sweco and was been involved in a wide range of major infrastructure projects with Amey and the wider Ferrovial group. Ewan was responsible for the Amey team carrying out the Design and Site Supervision of the New Works on the £400M M8 M73 M73 DBFO Motorway Improvements project. The project included 63 new or modified structures including several major structures. Ewan also led the Amey design team as part of a wider Ferrovial group bid for the £500M Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route, including many major structures.

Responsible for a range of major D&B/DBFO/PPP projects and joint ventures as Project Director or JV Director. Key Account Director for D&B/PPP contractor clients. Responsible for developing, securing and delivering major projects design commissions, including negotiating and formation of joint venture delivery teams with other consultants and strategic alliances with Major Civils Contractors. The design JVs had a combined team of around 400 staff delivering in excess of £25M of annual fee income. Projects delivered included; Dublin Port Tunnel £300M, A1 Darrington Dishforth DBFO £200M, M50 Widening £100M, M4M6 PPP Motorway £250M, M3 Clonee Kells PPP €400M

Responsible for multi disciplinary Transportation Design offices in Edinburgh, Leeds, Glasgow and Dublin. Led the development of the business into one of the leading designers in Design & Build and PPP/DBFO market in the UK and Ireland market with an enviable portfolio of projects with a range of prestigious private sector clients. Also fulfilled a number of broader roles in the organisation including regional director for Ireland, IT director for UK and Ireland, and member of commercial contract review board
