Working with a small team of mechanical design engineers, I was contracted to assist in a project for a major player in the cosmetics industry. The product is a confidential injection moulded plastic device with many moving parts and mechanisms. I was contracted to assist in the conceptualisation, design and detailing of assembly jigs and fixtures to build a production trial run. This included accurate clamping systems to assist in adhesion processes and vacuum systems for holding and placing small components.

Due to my past experience within the CCTV industry, Siemens Building Technologies contracted me as technical project manager and mechanical design engineer to update the mechanical design and manage the transfer of a product from the UK to China, liaising with the product management team in Germany and with electronics & software development input from the product development team in the UK.

Working with an established team of multi disciplined engineers I was contracted as a Solidworks Engineer to work on a confidential medical product design. The product had been conceptualised by the client and has been developed for manufacture by the team in Cambridge. The product had over 200 parts, with many complex inter-dependent mechanisms mainly manufactured from injection moulded components, held within a hand held unit. My role within the team was to utilise my skills to further develop and production document components and assemblies, working closely with team management, 'assembly area' technical specialists and the tolerance analysis team.
