I have been a property and business lawyer since 1996. Working alongside my team we deal with a wide variety of commercial property/business matters including developments, purchases and sale of businesses, property finance, leasing, renewables and general purchase and sales of property as well as dealing with regulatory issues.I have three main areas of particular personal interest:Healthcare - I advise a wide range of healthcare businesses, primarily dental, medical and care home practices. Our healthcare work is expanding rapidly at the moment and I thoroughly enjoying working with other specialist accountants, agents and lenders in the sector Regulatory matters - I am a part-time chairman of the Private Rented Housing Committee, one of the Legal Advisers to the Scottish Social Services Council. I have recently completed a project for the Equality & Human Rights Commission in relation to the implentation of the Equality Act 2010 in the Scottish Higher and Further Education sectorOnline Legal Services - the online legal market has had little development in Scotland to date. Consumers need access to legal services in a more flexible, convenient and cost-effective manner.
