Often a financial mind outside of the finance department I have consistently brought together divergent teams to focus on clear common objectives.My biggest asset is the ability is to turn the often dull and abstract subjects of data and finance into compelling stories which can engage a diverse range of stakeholders to provide efficient and effective actions. I have taken many companies and departments on a journey from an apathetic view on data and finance to it becoming core to their day to day work and our most valuable asset.I also have an interest in behavioural economics which has become very useful in constructing and implementing successful business strategies whilst my CIMA qualifications mean that I can fully understand the impact of local decisions on central finances.I am a keen cyclist and am currently 1,900 miles into a cycle trip from Tromso; Norway to Agadir; Morocco, one summer at a time. I also enjoy run-commuting, brewing, sausage making, music production, local history, international business, politics and economics. Since having a small child many of these have been put on hold. I am also a Director for a local charitable group looking to turn a listed building into a community hub.I am looking for a place to transform the information strategy of an organisation where data is not a by-product of an entity's actions but, as an output, as central an asset as the capital and people it employs.
