After reading a magazine article about a Dell Global Account Manager, I decided in that moment that this was what I wanted to do as a career. When I learned that Dell was coming to Texas A&M to conduct interviews, I applied but wasn't among the 10 selected. Undeterred, I discovered Dell was presenting an informational session at a local Hilton Hotel. Although I wasn't on the attendee list, I showed up early in a suit and tie and told them I wanted to work for them. By the end of that evening, I'd met every Dell representative there and impressed a sales leader who invited me to the corporate office to interview. After 3-4 rounds of interviews that day, I was offered a position the next day to join Dell in a sales role. This level of relentless determination, drive, and solution focus has defined my career.
