Nuerofeedback is an evidence-based non-pharmacological brain training program that helps resolve neural disregulation and instabilities that create a broad range of emotionall, cognitive, and physical ailments. I am thrilled to be at the San Diego Center for Neurofeedback under the clinical supervision of Dr. Chrisitana Silva & Dr. Tanya Hilber, and a team of 6 other associate registered therapists and clinicians, to provide individualized treatment, referrals, support and resources to improve client's success. I am currently serving those with traumatic brain injury, ADHD, anxiety, emotional reactivity, depression, PTSD, and more. My special interest in in the area of immune system regulation, chronic pain, anxiety, and depression.

Telecare has been at the forefront of pioneering recovery and person-centered community mental health service for decades. I joined Telecare's newly formed Transition Team to provide outreach to SD County Hospitals and Psychiatric Wards, enrolling qualifying members diagnosed with persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders in order to transition them successfully into the community through connection to outpatient care, psychosocial rehabilitation skill building, individual and family counseling, & social services. • Worked cooperatively with, and tailored services for, members’ unique needs and self-identified goals through connection to ongoing wraparound mental health and substance use services in the community. • Employed psychoeducation and rehabilitative best practices to assist each member foster relationships that supported their goals. Practices included, but are not limited to: Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, WRAP planning, and the coordination of care with family members and natural supports.• Delivered individual/family counseling & psychosocial rehabilitation skill building. Conducted suicide safety planning and monitoring with high-risk members.

One of SD County’s many walk-in and referral outpatient care clinics NCMHC serves San Diegans with severe and persistent mental illness. Operating from a recovery-model, I had the privilege of working with and becoming part of their multidisciplinary team of care.• Served as a clinical therapist providing individual, recovery-centered therapy to diverse individuals with severe mental health and physical illness needs, observing considerable progress in symptom management & psychosocial functioning.• In tandem with clinic psychiatrists, developed individualized client plans, administering evidence-based trauma-informed interventions for depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar, as well as illness management skill building for clients with cancer and epilepsy.• Co-Lead a co-occurring support group utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, SMART Recovery interventions, Mindfulness, and Wellness Recovery Action Planning. • Performed weekly psychosocial assessments, high risk assessments, didactic learning in supervisions, and case management for supported employment, housing, & education.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to have provided leadership as the Rehabilitation Counseling Student Association President in the areas of expanding student social support, academic success, and professional development. To do so, I was particularly focused on build capacity within the organization to increase our student offerings and programs. • Spearheaded 2 annual networking events for SDSU’s Rehab Counseling department with local mental health service providers in San Diego and the San San Diego Community College District, expanding practicum and internship opportunities for students interested in pursuing mental health licensure and disability student service • Provided administrative capacity building for the organization through the streamlining of association procedures, the development of an association database, new social media accounts and software. • In collaboration with Mental Health Systems– organized & facilitated monthly meetings & contract speakers for Job Development Network of San Diego who provide employment services for those with psychiatric, intellectual, and developmental disabilities. • Assisted in the creation of mentor program, CRC exam preparation, social gatherings, student orientation presentations & monthly newsletters.

In collaboration with Mental Health Systems– organize & facilitate monthly meetings, contractspeakers, and host meaningful discussions for SD county network of job developers for persons with psychiatric, intellectual, physical, and developmental disabilities.

Conducted a research in current best practices in community mental health care, Medicare, housing, social security, recent disability rights legislation, ethical decision making, and assistive technology.Produced a research paper on Social Security that was used as a model for student research for Dr. Olney’s Foundations to Rehabilitation Counseling class.

I came to Peace Works Travel during an exciting time of transition for them. Starting with a new staff, new branding, and a need for updated administrative work-flows and media, I was able to hit the ground running and aid their capacity building and program delivery through the following initiatives: Created, customized, and implemented a working and integrated CRM for student/traveler registration, data management, and accounting.Standardized and created new Program Management work-flows and procedures, and provided collegial review of sales training process. Provided excellent working of relationships with over a dozen domestic teachers and administrators ,international vendors, and colleagues, thus leaving Peace Works in a place of relational and administrative strength. Seeking to create a position for myself at UC Santa Barbara, I pursued this contract opportunity to work with the Directors of the Corporate Relations Office at the College of Engineering. Primarily a research institution, the College of Engineering was seeking to expand its delivery of career opportunity and recruitment offerings to it's undergraduate population, an area in need of significant growth. I helped spearhead and execute the roll-out of their new web-based digital career portfolio for 1,200 engineering undergraduates, 10 department advisors, and 12 College Corporate Affiliate Members. Managed US office operations for a fast-growing a high-adventure Youth Development non-profit, serving over 100,000 Latin youth since 2001. With an exclusive invitation list of 60 celebrity, congressional, NWS, NOAA, and Oxfam executives, we raised $500K in critical operational and program funds, highlighting P!N's Young Meteorologist Program, targeting 55 million US school children.In addition, I oversaw a Charity Buzz pre-fundraiser auction sales, totaling $50k, assisting the CEO with organizational administration, donor management, & the drafting of all congressional, celebrity, and donor letters templates. It was not only a success, but an absolute delight & honor to take part!
