My journey to becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor is rooted in my own 15 year walk of recovery and continued self-management from a disabling neuro-immune illness and the need I see for skilled recovery-oriented counselors who have a solid understanding of the disability experience, have a holistic approach in competently addressing psychosocial aspects of chronic and psychiatric and comorbid chronic illnesses, and are able to instill hope and facilitate the life goals of individuals they serve, to improve their health and wellness, and to live self-directed lives within their communities.
