Personal focus:Eager to learn and understand, speedy worker, attentional. Wide range of interests and a love for presenting complicated subjects in a fluid way. Feeling for combining high-tech such as quantum modelling and AI with a problem solving attitude and a can-do mentality.Personal interests:I started my academic journey by studying physics, but switched to chemistry after two years. The chemistry of the world around seemed to be more in line with my academic interests and to be more useful in tackling the scientific and technical challenges of today. A fascination with software was born at the Gymnasium: a whole new world arose while tinkering with computers and software with friends. It took some time to convince myself to complete my academic journey, with a PhD in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry as the cherry on top. In the end I am very proud of my academic achievements, especially since the belief that such an academic journey was the right track for me was not obvious at the start. My PhD research has allowed me to combine a slew of different things; such as working and tinkering with supercomputers, becoming proficient in host of different programming languages like C/C++, python and bash, and attending scientific conferences. Learning anything from scratch is exceptionally important to maintaining an open and curious mind.
