Role Outline:As Assistant Manager at Shut the Front Door, I was responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the store, including managing the store in the absence of the manager, overseeing stock levels, and ensuring a positive customer experience. I played a key role in ensuring the store operated smoothly, both during regular hours and during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic when I was responsible for operating the store solo.Key Responsibilities:- Opened and closed the store, ensuring all operational procedures were followed and the store was secure.- Managed store operations in the absence of the manager, including overseeing stock levels, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning.- Worked independently during COVID-19 restrictions, including unpacking stock, managing customer interactions while adhering to social distancing guidelines, and operating the store’s computer and phone systems alone.- Provided excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a welcoming and efficient shopping experience.- Managed the store’s phone and computer systems, handling customer orders and inquiries both in-store and remotely.
