I have the best “job” in the world: I'm a father of two, an Apple employee, a DEI practitioner, a writer, chef, and photographer.Of all the things I have accomplished over the last +10 years being an engineering project manager of high-end consumer products, I am most proud of having co-founded “Black@Hardware”—an employee resource group at Apple approaching its fourth “birthday” at the time of this writing.Activism is part of who I am. I'm an anti-racist speaker and workshop facilitator, but my focus extends beyond race. I work to diminish the limiting beliefs behind any form of social bigotry—sexism, ableism, or whichever other “ism” you care about most.My anti-racism philosophy isn't focused on right versus wrong, but rather on the power of vulnerability and the importance of not just emotional intelligence but of emotions themselves. Through personal stories—both my own and those shared with me—I aim to inspire new thought and action, helping people develop deeper empathy and understanding.I write a monthly article filled with new reflections and “tiny miracles” that is shared on LinkedIn.
