Shoot Edit at BBCI started my career in journalism in early 2012 after working for over six years as an IT professional. During my time at AFP, I have covered all key events during Myanmar's transition from military junta-rule to quasi-democracy. Within weeks of starting in 2012, I saw Aung San Suu Kyi elected and entering parliament for the first time, before following the build-up to the historic 2015 vote and beyond. The Rakhine crisis has also been a defining story of my journalistic career and I have undertaken several reporting missions to the state. Other news stories have included the student protests of 2015, an investigation into Kachin's notorious mines and the widespread flooding that hits the country each year. I know the importance of sending quality footage fast and also have wide-ranging experience shooting live broadcasts from late into election night and outside court during the Reuters trial, to days spent waiting for the football team to be rescued from the cave in Thailand. My keen interest in photography has also proven essential.
