Accepted a position to be an OCS Instructor at RTI, Michigan National Guard. I'm honored to have this opportunity to mold a piece of the MING's future leadership. At the time of writing this, I'm not yet fully certified to instruct OCS Candidates, but I'm putting the work in to have that honor. Once I've received all my required certifications I will update this description.

The mortar platoon sergeant is the principal assistant to the platoon leader and assists him in all matters pertaining to training and operation of the platoon. He assumes responsibilities of the platoon leader during his absence. There is far too much to this position to be able describe in the 254 character allowed by LinkedIn.

This position gave me the responsibility to help train and educate Michigan National Guard Soldiers prior to their deployment and assist in unit readiness. Our job was to teach, coach, and mentor deploying units and conduct as much mobilization training as was required to deploy overseas to Afghanistan, Iraq, and elsewhere.

Conducted consultation and business to business sales of logistics services, including small parcel. Lead presentations with executives. Partnered with operations management teams. Effectively presented and sold solutions through a cost-benefit analysis. Presented streamlined technology. Closed business. Activated customers. Trained decision makers and their staff. And continuously nurtured accounts.

ABI Attachments is fantastic. They taught me quite a bit about dirt, and how to work it. From horse arenas to baseball diamonds. ABI manufactures some of the most innovative equipment in the industry for use with multiple vehicle types. As a Senior Sales Representative I worked with a wide range of clients to determine their specific needs and help them choose the right piece of equipment for their application.

Responsible for a wide range of roles. Directly supervised Union Employees, scheduled production, worked closely with inside sales to insure order fulfillment, conducted audits and inventories, managed both inbound and outbound logistics, and much more. I will be forever grateful for the experience I gained working with Alro Steel Corporation. One of the most difficult things I ever did was resign to pursue a full time position with the Army National Guard prior to a deployment.
