Lead Packaging Engineer for all domestic and OEM packaging projects. Responsible for new product packaging design and current product packaging continuous improvement initiatives for both Whirlpool-manufactured and OEM (Finished Product Sourcing) products.

Developed client relationships and worked with numerous clients on packaging and supply chain related projects. This included implementing new packaging designs, improving existing packaging (cost/quality/ergonomics), and identifying and implementing process improvements. Delivered consistent results with regard to meeting and exceeding cost, quality, and timing requirements for design and validation of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging for new products. This involved a wide variety of returnable and expendable packaging materials including rigid and flexible plastics, structural foams, and corrugated.  Identified and implemented cost savings opportunities of in excess of $1M with respect to material selection, density maximization, and overall supply-chain impact (logistics, inventory, material handling, etc.). Created and implemented new process for client which covered 62 manufacturing sites. This resulted in business expansion for the client as well as cost savings.

Managed all packaging projects which included developing package concepts, conducting manufacturing feasibility studies, tracking budgets, and implementation of concepts into production. Identified and executed numerous cost savings projects within the packaging and logistics departments resulting in annual savings of over $1M.
