Co-founded Gerium Medical in 2011 (Raised $3M and later acquired by Mennen Medical in 2015) and served as Head of R&D. We developed a medical device product that measures transcutaneous bilirubin in neonates using optical non-invasive methods in order to screen neonatal jaundice (https://www.mennenmedical.com/bilicare/):- Managed all R&D activities that were outsourced to subcontractors. Defined requirements in SOW and monitored on a weekly basis the activities at the various subcontractors: --- Write R&D documentation: SRS, SDS, HRS, HDS, STD, Risk Analysis, etc.--- Reviewed all embedded software code written in C language--- Reviewed all board design schematics in Orcad- Defined and managed the clinical studies in Israel, Russia, and US- Wrote code in Matlab to analyze clinical study results and improve device algorithm- Defined the entire calibration procedure for the device during manufacturing- Defined all jigs used in manufacturing and monitored their development by sub contractors.

Developed HW, SW and end-to-end products for the medical device industry.Two biggest projects were:1. Aesthetic industry - Integration of skin tightening system using RF and hair removal system using IPL into one system. - Lead the embedded SW development in C language on an MSP430 MCU in IAR development environment. 2. Development of prototype for detecting drowning children in the pool:- C language code development on an ATMEL MCU - Analog Design of AFE unit for ultrasonic underwater communication.- C language code development on a Nordic MCU for above water RF communication
