I take pictures of biological objects to find out how they work. In my scientific toolkit are multiprotein complex cloning, expression, and purification, cryo-EM and X-ray crystallography, and biophysical and fluorescence-based assays for characterizing protein-DNA interactions and enzyme kinetics. My research has contributed to the successful awarding of multiple grants, including a S$24 million grant from the Singapore government to investigate telomere dynamics with an international and interdisciplinary group of researchers. People I have worked with to tackle scientific questions include chemists, single molecule physicists, an NVIDIA GPU expert, and computer scientists. I am also passionate about teaching, public engagement, health, and music. Booth organizer at Imperial Lates Winter Wonderlab 2019, and event manager with Pint of Science 2020.
