Eric Hsiao is a Film & TV creative, educator, and advocate dedicated to elevating the next generation of storytellers. He currently supports and celebrates the independent filmmaking community through his work with The Gotham Film & Media Institute while providing industry and career guidance to students at LMU School of Film and Television. Eric also serves as a programmer for the Oscar-qualifying Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival.Eric previously served as Director of Content Development for Justin Lin's Perfect Storm Entertainment, where he collaborated on Fast X, F9: The Fast Saga, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Max's Warrior, and Sony's One Punch Man, among many others. He also oversaw Perfect Storm’s international expansion through its partnership with the Beijing-based studio CMC Pictures (The Meg). As a creative executive, Eric was selected to the CAPE Leaders Fellowship.Eric got his start in the creative industry as an agent trainee at United Talent Agency after graduating from NYU’s MBA/MFA creative-producing program. A Bay Area native, Eric holds BAs in Mass Communications and Sociology from UC-Berkeley.
