Mr. Zareh leads public and private markets investing for Emles Advisors, a family office. Mr. Zareh runs Emles Venture Partners, the family office's seed-stage venture fund. The fund’s investment approach is industry agnostic and geographically unconstrained. The 2019 vintage has deployed $25M with MOIC of ~3.2x (unrealized). The portfolio is comprised of >70 companies with standout investments including: 49x sustainability unicorn (priced); 10.1x crypto platform (priced); 8.5x customer service SaaS (priced, Lat-Am); 5.7x sustainability (priced, India). Mr. Zareh sources all investment opportunities (with an emphasis on the Y Combinator community) and conducts the end-to-end due diligence process. He sits on the Board of several portfolio companies and has numerous Board advisory roles.Mr. Zareh's other main responsibilities at the family office include: portfolio management in trading public equities (hedged product); source and invest in private equity deals and private equity/credit funds (e.g., largest LP in a cannabis credit fund); produced new products, including two publicly listed ETFs. Mr. Zareh began his career at Morgan Stanley in the Mergers and Acquisitions group within the Investment Banking division. Mr. Zareh advised on several multi-billion deals in industries ranging from aerospace & defense to healthcare to paper, pulp, & packaging. In 2003, Mr. Zareh joined the National Football League (NFL) to work directly with the Commissioner, franchise owners, and League executives. During his tenure, Mr. Zareh helped craft the League’s revenue sharing policy and contributed to the League’s stadium construction program. Mr. Zareh also contributed to the successful negotiations with the League’s key external partners - including agreements reached with the NFLPA on the collective bargaining agreement. After graduating from business school, Mr. Zareh started his career in the hedge fund industry as an institutional investor in the global capital markets. Mr. Zareh has worked at several multi-billion-dollar hedge funds, including Andor Capital, Clovis Capital, Sandler Capital, and Hutchin Hill Capital. At these funds, Mr. Zareh focused on special situation investment opportunities. In 2016, Mr. Zareh - as a founding member - helped form, launch, and manage Bayfield Court Capital Management. As Managing Director and Portfolio Manager, Mr. Zareh invested in merger and credit arbitrage opportunities across companies' capital structures.
