I'm not the kind of person who points out a problem and expects other people to fix it. I dive in headfirst, motivated and excited to make positive, impactful changes, which is how I became an author!From creation to publication, I've been working on this "solution" for four years now. Early on in the process, I decided to self-publish my book, which I knew absolutely nothing about. All I knew was that I didn't want to sign away my words and risk the chance of my vision being blurred.I created my own LLC, EZ Does It Publications. I built my own author website, social media profiles, and marketing materials. I learned how to register my book through the Library of Congress after I learned how to obtain my own ISBN numbers. My book was officially published on November 12th, 2024. Since then, I've focused on getting it into as many markets as possible, which was another thing I had to learn all about. I've also been blessed with the opportunity to be featured on local news and radio stations and talk about its importance. The wider my reach, the more people I can help. The bigger positive impact I can make. I've been teaching high school for 15 years now, and I can no longer ignore the blatant inequities plaguing the education system. It's transformed into this system run by fear and politics, losing its grip on its purpose of providing our youth with a well-rounded education and teaching skills they can carry with them into adulthood. Harnessing them with the tools they need to function successfully in the world of adulting.This core belief and the desire to be a part of the solution led to my book's creation.The Ayeee to Z Adulting Guide: How to Navigate Adulthood Like a Boss! is an immersive book that contains the knowledge young adults need to make educated life choices and confidently forge their own path to happiness.From budgeting to insurance to health care and more, every topic was picked with purpose by high schoolers and written equitably to ensure the content applies to readers nationwide. You will not find a book that compares to my book's content variety and format. Period. The unique skill set I've acquired throughout this venture has allowed me to evolve into a person I am so very proud to be and to truly see the worth and value I have to offer. I believe, with every fiber of my being, that this book is the catalyst to the start of a new chapter in my own adulting journey, and that fills me with excitement.
