3D Creative Workshops produces contemporary bespoke and limited-edition jewellery and luxury products in precious and non-precious materials. Our well-equipped multi-discipline studio supports our passion for marrying high-technology manufacture with traditional goldsmithing craft in well-designed and hand-finished products.With our proven track record of helping designers meet their deadlines, and win design awards, we are often called upon to assist in product development and production management – especially where 3D CAD or 3D printing is involved. It's not all hands-on; our consultancy reaches as wide as defining business strategies.Our challenging and inspiring workshops in creative experiment and design are also highly prized.We are a unique husband-and-wife team offering an array of complementary skills and experiences honed in the jewellery trade, education and corporate, and have worked together since 2000.Roles:Product developmentDesign training3D CAD and AM specialist3D designer

Predominantly involved in technical support for the BA fashion jewellery and MA Fashion Artefact students. My focus was on introducing Rhino 3D modeling software and its relationship to additive manufacturing and CNC technologies.In my spare time I continued researching direct metal laser sintering technology and worked on my exhibition art pieces.

Lecturer: Jewellery Design and Technique; Introduction to computers Years 1 and 2; Business studies Years 1 and 2; Introduction to Computer aided design and rapid prototyping technology.

Designed and manufactured interior design products on a commission basis as well as supplying retail outlets. Part of the business also involved manufacturing contemporary furniture for retail and corporate interiors. Due to the quality of workmanship and our punctuality we were on occassions contracted by these companies to also supply exhibition showstand services. Companies we serviced included, BP South Africa, Storm International, Nokia and Western Cape Tourism Board.

Lecturer responsible for first year technique and second year design and technique. I was also responsible for the jewellery departments's administration in respect to sourcing and purchasing of tools, equipment, consumables, materials and precious metals/stones.
