At HappyWorks, we rapidly develop human-centered physical products and consumer electronics. As a Co-Founder, I led the engineering, electronics design, manufacturing, supplier relations, and programming efforts for our first product: The Thermometer, a standalone smart cooking assistant designed to simplify the cooking process for novice chefs.Collaborating with a diverse team of 4 co-founders, we transformed an initial idea into a fully funded product on Kickstarter (215% funded), leveraging rapid prototyping, iterative design, and in-house 3D printing. Our core value is simplicity—creating intuitive, no-nonsense tech that just works.This project honed my skills in hardware design, cross-functional collaboration, and product-market alignment, laying the groundwork for future HappyWorks innovations.

At OpenMote, I led the engineering, PCB design, manufacturing, and supplier relations to create an open-source, hacker-friendly drop-in replacement for Wii remotes. Designed for the DIY electronics and retro gaming communities, OpenMote allows users to repurpose old Wii remotes into customizable universal controllers for smart home devices or creative projects.I collaborated closely with my co-founder and community members, iteratively improving the product by incorporating feedback from platforms like Reddit, Discord, and Adafruit's show-and-tell livestreams. Beyond engineering, I spearheaded marketing efforts, leveraging social media and community outreach to build momentum around our Kickstarter and subsequent CrowdSupply campaigns.Through this project, I gained hands-on experience in SoC design, user-driven development, and community-driven product launches, which strengthened my skills in hardware design, rapid prototyping, and crowdfunding.

At Packa.Design, I developed a modular ecosystem of premium smokeware for the growing cannabis market. As the founder, I led all aspects of product design, manufacturing, and engineering. From initial sketches to final production, I created innovative smokeware products designed for seamless integration and user delight. I also spearheaded the marketing pivot and worked with a co-founder and a marketing agency to rebrand and launch our signature product, the Packa.Pipe.Packa was my first startup, and through it, I honed my skills in rapid prototyping, manufacturing optimization, customer engagement, and market validation.
