Since 1997, he has obtained numerous international-, national-, and state-level certifications. He has supervised teams as small as 3 and as large as 90. He co-managed a 35-bed residential treatment center and two 5-bed group homes, located in Southcentral Alaska, for indigenous youth from throughout the state with behavioral and substance abuse issues. He managed a residential treatment center above the Arctic Circle, an Alaska statewide medically assisted treatment center, and a Colorado statewide crisis management and suicide prevention hotline.Dr. Lockhart currently maintains private practice in the US (e.g., Alaska & Colorado) with virtual sessions. Dr. Lockhart is a board member for the Alaska Addiction Professionals Association, a local chapter of NAADAC, and Studio CE, a continuing education provider. He is a professor at Yorkville University in Canada and affiliate faculty at the Colorado School for Family Therapy in the US.EDUCATIONDr. Lockhart obtained a Ph.D. in Psychology, specializing in Addictions, at Northcentral University. He studied with the Faculty of Health Sciences and Centre for Disability Research and Policy at University of Sydney in Australia completing his first master's degree in Health Sciences. He has studied with the College of Health and Department of Psychology at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
