He has more than 35 years of experience as a project surveyor in control, boundary, topographic, and specializing in construction surveying. His construction experience varies from small and large landfill closures to large scale power plant (750KV+) facilities. Mr. Adsit was the lead surveyor responsible for the construction of what was considered the second largest mall in the U.S. He started his survey career deep in the Catskill mountain region of New York creating a base of experience in back country subdivisions and deep woods control work, long before the advent of GPS and electronic instrumentation. This experience soon evolved with the increase of technology and education and he quickly became involved with contractors needing a reliable contract negotiator and lay-out specialist.

Dan Adsit was with David Evans and Associates since 2007 as the Salem Survey Manager, the responsibilities include preperation of Scope and Fee for Survey, Bridge and Environmental Projects. DEA handles a large portion of the construction staking projects for local municipalities, ODOT and County projects within the Willamette Valley. Working in the field of surveying, primarily in heavy construction surveying for over 34 years, the majority of his experience has been working on the East Coast in New York and New Jersey on large projects which include: Project Surveyor, Palisades Center Mall; Constructing of the second largest Mall in the Country at the time of construction with the structure size covering over 84 acres including new bridge structures on the NYS Thruway and a new "floating" bridge crossing wetlands to access the mall. Project final cost $500M. Also included were the construction of two gas generation power plants, one in Linden NJ and the second in Albany NY (Bethlehem Power Station), Dan was the Chief of Survey under local IUOE 825 for the power plant construction; each plant construction value was over $550M. Additional projects include multiple Environmental projects for Land-fill closures, Army Corps of Engineers on multiple stream flood projects, additional mall sites including working with Wal-Mart, Lowes, Home Depot etc. Bridge inspection experience was compiled while working for a private firm contracted by the New York State Bridge Authority. Inspection structures include the Bear Mountain, Castleton-on-Hudson, Kingston-Rhinecliff, Mid Hudson, Newburgh Beacon, and Rip Van Winkle Bridges. During the Cell Tower boom of the early 2000's Dan was involved in multiple tower inspections and construction through-out the New York and New England area, Climbing and Rescue became a daily adventure throughout the Catskill, Adirondacks and Green Mountain backdrops.
