"I think you're lost".Although being told that many times I've never considered it a bad thing. Of course I learn from my mistakes and I know how to find a good business by performing relentless and thorough analysis. Those are expected qualities and cliches that I live by. However it's often that I read about success and rare that I find good analysis on failures, thus may this summary be a sum of my failures.Back in 2014, as part of a team of high schoolers that wanted to create a game during our sophomore year, I was called to take care of the business part. So I was the one to read about taxes, how to register a company, which lawyers we should go to, the operations, etc. This game wasn't a failure nor a success as it's not yet launched because of the team's unavailability. Nevertheless it was my inspiration to pursue a career as a Business Analyst – so I have these people to thank for. Then, since 2015, I got involved in a lot of projects. 30+ business ideas and products that either didn't work or were refused by early-stage investors all while working in exchange of know-how and contacts for a startup expansion consultant in São Paulo. Other than signing lots of NDAs I was fortunate enough to be present in meetings, events and to participate in the development of important documents and materials for startups applying for investment or were in the initial stages of production.I could say that I learned a lot from these failures, and I did, however I think there's more to it than just learning. You see, for each project that failed there were people involved in them, that truly believed in what was being built. It was frustrating to have other people tell them that their work wasn't worth it. It was unbearable to hear it about mine. And it's even worse having to say it to others.But that's why I advise, invest and help early-stage startups and other kinds of projects. Through history and data it's possible to avoid disastrous outcomes and achieve terrific ones.
