I work in the field of optomechanics, using laser light to sense and control mechanical motion. My research focuses on the full production cycle of photonics/MEMS devices made of silicon nitride, starting with their design from first principles up to their characterization. As a result, I am experienced in the optimization of design parameters using multiphysics simulation software (FDTD, FEA), the generation of layout drawings and lithography masks, the fabrication of the devices in a cleanroom using semiconductor manufacturing processes, and the programming of hardware for the automation of data acquisition and analysis.
