This summer, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in applied psychology at FHNW in Olten and my six-month internship as UX expert at Migros-Genossenschafts-Bund (MGB). Since 10 years, I am working at tpc as a sound engineer in outside broadcast.My passion lies in exploring user needs and turning them into services that solve the user’s real world problems. My studies in Olten focused on occupational, organisational and personnel psychology. There, I learned and practiced the empirical gathering of data through qualita-tive and quantitative research. Moreover, I learned to moderate workshops, sharpened my skills in negotiation and presenting empirical data. While studying for my Bachelor’s degree, I got more and more interested in user experience design and research. To gain more detailed insights, I attended courses in User Experience Design and java programming at the FHNW School of Engineering. In my last semester, I gained work experience at MGB as UX expert. During my internship at MGB, I independently performed contextual inquiries, usability walkthroughs, a/b-tests, modelled personas and interaction patterns, created online surveys and presented my results to internal and external stakeholders. From the results, I created wireframes and clickable prototypes. I am a determined team player and my Bachelor’s degree in psychology helps me to get the best out of cross-functional teams.I am presently working as a sound engineer at TPC AG, the technical partner of Swiss national TV, where I learn to lead ad-hoc teams, to stick to deadlines and to handle sophisticated presenters. With my background as an electronics technician, sound engineer and psychologist, I am well grounded in adapting to diverse situations and different stakeholders. I can quickly takeover their point of view and adapt to different sets of goals. I am good at winning team-mates and customers for the field of psychology and the possibilities of User-Centred Design.
