My role involves consulting with various departments including Supply Chain & Quality Assurance to ensure supply of materials are fulfilled for production batches and final release of the batch file documentation. Ensure the Team leaders and Associates are following company policy in all matters of Health and Safety, creating a safe working environment, and managing any HSE actions that arise. This includes responsibility for team compliance and environmental training, in accordance with Owen Mumford Quality, Health & Safety guidelines.Monitor KPI’s such as hourly output and scrap data, and other relevant data to support the achievement of objectives, whilst identifying continuous improvement opportunities, and monitoring standard cost variances. Conduct daily team briefs which I run occur at start of shift to discuss any concerns or opportunities, discuss output from the last 24 hours, whilst creating effective working relationships. Conduct and participate in investigations resulting from quality complaints and/or quality concerns, by consulting with internal and external customers, providing information, supporting all assembly processes, and identifying training needs to ensure all aspects of training are up to date. Being accountable for all personnel entering the work area being dressed according to departmental requirements and company procedures. Complete annual reviews of production documentation including Work instruction, SOP’s and updates if required. Resolve any matters which affect team discipline advising the Production Manager if disciplinary procedures are considered necessary. complete Annual Appraisals on time with 1-2-1 interviews with each associate, ensuring team leaders complete back to work interviews with associates that have been absent from work, then inform the production manager / HR of any trends that appear. Approve data that is required on the Time Management System.

The position involves monitoring the performance of individuals/team and identify where this performance is below that expected.Work with the Section Leader/Supervisor on improvement plans, as appropriate.Ensure that the team work is as follows by the Work Instructions, SOP`s and any other official document that is issues as part of the Batch File.Ensure that the Assembly line is set up correctly including all attendant documentation and line identification and that all team members record accurate production data including any information required for the Batch File. Ensure that all team members have necessary WIP Product to maintain continuity of shift/daily production, including product for the incoming shift.Identify operators training needs and provide the necessary training schedules. Guarantee line clearances are conducted according to the correct procedures.Maintain daily cleaning procedures and good housekeeping practice within the work area.Responsible for ensuring that incoming product is correct to the Picking List/Packing Spec and is stored and classified as instructions.Responsible for the control and location of jigs at all times and to report any Jig/Assembly aids failures to the Section Leader/Supervision. Responsible for collating all “In Process” documentation that is part of a Batch File or any other documents that is to be completed. Taking on continuous projects such as 5s and improving line flow.Raising exception documents as required.

The position includes reading and following different Standard Operating Procedures and working to high Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards at all times. This involves working with delicate parts and equipment as part of a fast moving but quality driven production line.Once parts are completed and validated, the next step is to package for different customers and markets as required. As ever, every item is given the ultimate attention as the items are for drug delivery, and I do fully consider the possibility that a loved one could be the customer.

Worked as a production line operative Assembling and packing drug delivery devices, to a very high standard. Having spent a number of months as a temporary worker, my hard work and reliability were rewarded with a full time position with the same company.
