CurrentCumulatively, going back to September of 2004, I've been a part of this consultancy’s management for over eight years. F2F Direct Consulting, an offshoot of Donor Direct Consulting, serves the charity sector in Western Canada.Originally a campaigner, and then manager of a face-to-face campaign representing the Canadian Red Cross in Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg, I returned in March of 2015 to be Calgary Campaign Manager for a determined team that is canvassing on behalf of the Alberta Cancer Foundation. Now, as Campaign Director, I oversee Calgary and Edmonton, work to expand the reach of the campaign to smaller cities in Alberta, and facilitate the development of campaigns in British Columbia representing the VGH + UBC Hospital Foundation and Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.There is so much good being done in Western Canada, many people wanting to become personally invested in causes that help the disaster stricken, improve the quality of life and longevity of our personal acquaintances and family members, and provide the best possible care in the service of children, parents and siblings who are going through the most dreadful experience a family could endure. Every day, I am thankful to be a part of this strategic and creative network, as we find new ways and forums to engage the public and add momentum to the work being done.Without empathetic people helping make this happen, including all of the generous individuals, concerned families, progressive companies and welcoming property managers, we couldn’t maximize our reach and help charitable organizations weather difficult socio-economic times. When our representatives have the opportunity to connect with a potential donor, and express the powerful way in which a monthly donation provides an invaluably predictable source of funding for social programs and medical ingenuity, the promise of that which is possible becomes ever more realistic.
