● Worked with a team of 4 to solve an underlying issue regarding monthly prepayment prediction faced by Bank of America in their mortgage-backed security segment via Machine Learning Techniques on 20 years of historical loan and macro rates data.● Built Machine Learning Models like Decision Trees, Random Forests, Gradient Boosting Trees, and Neural Networks to predict the behavior of creditors and got a model with 89% Accuracy/0.82 AUC that predicted if a person would prepay their mortgage or not helping the bank value their mortgage portfolios correctly. Back tested and stress tested the model to check its validity.
