About Farida Abdul-Wahab
Farida is a first generation Nigerian-American born, and raised in The Bronx, New York. Some of her earlier experience includes working in On-Air Promotions at A+E Networks, independent film production in New York City and commercial production in the United Arab Emirates. In 2016, she moved to Los Angeles to attend graduate school at the University of Southern California. From there, she went on to assist Emmy award-winning producer Mike Tollin followed by an assistant position in the TV Literary department at Creative Artists Agency (CAA). In December of 2020, Farida joined Scott Free Productions and was most recently Manager of TV Development and Production. She is excited to continue honing her skills as a professional. Her goal is to tell stories that resonate globally by amplifying culturally diverse narratives. Farida holds a B.S. degree from The Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College and an MFA from the prestigious Peter Stark Producing Program at the University of Southern California. She is also a 2018 Women in Film Scholar.
