As an ACP in an outpatient clinic setting, my responsibilities include: preparing patients for their consultation, sanitizing examination rooms pre/post-visit, obtain and record vital signs, conducting and documenting screening inquiries, performing venipuncture, initiating IV lines, and managing central line dressing changes.

As a nurse extern on med/tele my responsibilities entails data collection, assisting with activities of daily living, patient monitoring, and other skills including removing peripheral IVs, CHG baths, peri-operative prep, blood glucose monitoring, bladder scan, 12-lead EKGs and so on.

As a Temperature screener, my main responsibilities where to screen incomming people into the hospital to take their tempature and give the person a sticker that best suit their needs in the hospital. I also help guide incomming patients to where they need to go, and help answer general questions that patiens and people may have. I along with with co-workers helped manage visiting hours and inform people about visiting hours and its rules. I was mainly placed at the 3 entrances of the hospital rotating the diffrent entrances on every shift. I occasonaly was also floated to near by facilites fuffiling the same responsibilites.

Working In patient financial services, I got to do plenty of things. For most of my work I worked in the application Epic. Besides working in epic, I got to fold letters and send them to the patient. In epic, I got to print explanation of benefit forms from claim forms, and send them to their respective insurance or to the patient. I also worked in a workqueue in epic distributing credits to the oldest outstanding balance. Additionally, I worked in a workqueue to see if patients had a valid continued visit or not and managing their copay's with the visit.

As a receptionist, I answered phone calls and transfer them to a specific department or property manager. I received packages and gave them to a specific person. I also maintained both suite kitchens and re-sock them with supply. I helped the accounting department by filing invoices from property and by the quarter of the year. I helped the property management department by sending certified mail and sending letters to tenants, and updating tenant folder information. As well as, sending emails in salesforce to tenants. I helped the investor relations department by updating investor file information, scan documents, and shadow their work. I helped the office manager by getting gifts for the current Birthday person. I occasionally helped the executive side by helping set up information books for them to use at conferences. I also help set up a conference rooms for the company weekly meetings, and incoming guest. Overall, working at Baceline Investments help improve my communication skills, time management skills, and my computer skills by using microsoft office and using the salesforce website.

This internship is not a part of my High school and is held through the program Medical Career Collaborative (MC^2). I was a student intern at the medical surgical trauma unit, interning at Denver Health. MC^2 starts with field trips, workshops and training before the main part of the program, the internship. Once done with the internship, students continue medical career related workshops and move to the senior year part of the program, which is about college and career coaching workshops. During my interning at med/surg, with supervision I got to assist certified nurses assistants by taking automatic blood pressure, and temperature. I got to help nurses get the supply they need for their patients, and restock supply. I also got to help the clerk's with answering phone calls to transfer to a patient or the patient's medical provider. I was able to go into the patient's room to see if I could get them any snacks, or re-fill their water cup, if permitted. This program made me realize that I like working at the hospital and helping people, it made me want to pursue the medical path.

As a student intern, I worked through out three floors. I re-stocked paper in printers and snacks. I scanned packets and send them out to their respective person or department. I sorted mail, water plants, empty coffee canteens, clean and set up conference rooms, and help set up for events in the large conference room. This internship has helped me learn how to time manage, and how to alter projects to finish efficiently.
