My professional life is dedicated to leveling up for left behind communities. In my last role as CEO I transformed a failing youth club serving disadvantaged young people in west London into one of the leading youth organisations of its kind in the country. In my previous role with Paddington Development Trust leading policy and practice work, I co-designed and enabled a model of community empowerment and neighbourhood renewal of continued national and international relevance. I have led on some of the country's most exciting examples of localism, community governance and self-help. I have excelled at securing inward investment to disadvantaged communities, by influencing mainstream budgets and connecting communities in an exchange of social capital. Sustainable development, deliberative and participatory democracy have been drivers throughout my career.
