Having graduated from ENSTBB-Bordeaux INP (France), a prestigious biotechnology engineering school (december 2023), I am currently looking for a PhD position in oncology or cell biology. I developed a growing passion for research during my years at school and during my 2 laboratory internships at Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, affiliated with the University of Cambridge, and at Sanofi (Vitry-sur-Seine, France) in the microfluidics team.In Cambridge (UK), I worked in Dr Douglas Winton's team for 3.5 months. I investigated the effect of cancer driver mutations in terms of signalling changes using FFPE normal human colon tissue and cell lines. Thanks to this experience, I deepened my knowledge and experience in histopathology through techniques such as immunohistochemistry (IHC) and multiplex immunofluorescence, in cell culture, in molecular biology (PCR, western blot), and in cellular biology (cell assays, metabolic tests). As a result of the fully-English work environment, the regular presentations and the writing of my report, I greatly improved my English. For my final internship (6 months), I spent at Sanofi in the microfluidics team led by Dr. Guillaume Mottet. I worked on the development of a new high-throughput spheroid (3D cell culture) production technology using hydrogel and microfluidics technologies. This experience was truly enriching, and I would greatly like to continue my research in the field of 3D cell culture. As a result of my work during these 2 internships, I will be a co-author on 2 articles: one is currently being reviewed to be published in Cancer Discovery and the other one is in the process of being written.
