Working for Vehicle front for Volvo and Mack Trucks. I was doing conceptual design on a number of hoods for Volvo and Mack trucks. The design was done in Catia V5 and connected to the PLM system. During this work I was involved in both concepts and design releases. An American truck hood is a large plastic part having interfaces or packing relation to several other systems, demanding a close collaboration with numerous other stakeholders. Furthermore the rigidity, crash safety, production and packing limitation demanded extra attention during the process as important characteristics for the hood.
