1- Professional: Neurosurgeon with more than 33 years of proven experience in brain, spine and peripheral nerve surgeries. Specialist in Functional Neurosurgery and Neuromodulation: treatment of patients with complex chronic pain, Parkinson's disease and other abnormal movements (tremor), epilepsy, spasticity, dystonia and certain diseases of the limbic system with organic functional disorders, such as OCD, aggression, Gilles de la Tourette and depression. Former President of the Argentine Society of Neuromodulation for 2 terms and current member of the Board of the World Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery (WSSFN) and the International Neuromodulation Society (INS).2- Academic: University Professor since 1989. Full Professor of Clinical and Surgical Neurology of the FCM - UNCuyo. Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences (2014 - 2018), with extensive experience in administrative management of education and health issues and in the use of technological tools in Education as well as in team leadership.3- Research and application of neurotechnologies applied to clinical neurosciences. He started in this field in 2008 when he published together with Dr. Manuel Dujovny and collaborators a scientific article in an international journal on the use of AI in the recognition of optical characters to help visually impaired people. Since then he has been actively involved in the incipient science of AI applied to healthcare. Notable milestones include projects on early management of Parkinson's Disease using AI algorithms, his Master's degree in Clinical Research with the creation of AI-assisted virtual reality simulators. He is also a member of the AI Club with the UNCuyo and the Zaldívar Foundation. He is part of the advisory group of the Collaborative Innovation Platform oriented to AI management and new technologies applied to management that was signed between UNCuyo and the Government of the Province of Mendoza (AI4GOV) and member of the Local Committee of Artificial Intelligence of the Municipality of the City of Mendoza. Invited Assistant Professor of the subject “AI in Medicine” at the Instituto Universitario CEMIC. He has given local and international conferences on the subject and is Founder and CEO of Neurality Technological Solutions, a multi-awarded technology-based company dedicated to the development of AI-assisted virtual reality simulators.
