I started adelphi in 2008 and at that point i did websites to supplement my income. For three years i have developed websites. in 2011 Adelphi embarked on building business for partnership and profit. The first of these being the adelphi online stores , launching 15th march 2011.

Epiphany is one of the first Adelphi Trading sub companies and deals with web sites and web applications. Epiphany has to date done 25 websites in its one year of existence.Epiphany will now become an online directory supporting the adelphi e-stores

As Technical Manager I inherited a team that wasn’t able to complete projects in time and to the satisfaction of the client. Of the 6 problematic accounts inherited, all have were completed with client approval and further new projects were completed on time. I re-structured and re-used the existing process to create accountable and lock points for projects – ensuring procedures which enable for quick completion of projects. I was promoted to General Manager and there gained experience in running a web company from the top.ATUThe project involved to design and develop a website using within a short time – three weeks.As the project manager I was charged with deciding the quickest path. We implemented using an open source solution. The cms gave rich features and was able to be integrated within the three week period and have all content fed into it. The site launched as scheduled on 1st February 2009. Role played: project management, client liaisonSouthern Credit BankThe project involved to design and develop a website, revamping the old site southern credit had the project took four weeks and was completed in time.We implemented using a licensed Content Management System for the bank security and linked to other systems they run internally. I was employed as a developer building websites in PHP, asp, asp.net , coldfusion, java. I was later promoted to a senior developer where I assisted dotsavvy to move the organization from building just websites to online applications. I built insurance systems, online systems and brokerage systems. I implemented systems from asp to php to be run as intranets or internet applications. Inter connect LtdI managed to streamline a loss making department and to turn a profit in 14 months. My actions made the company realize the importance of the web as an income generating tool for the organization and its clients. As a developer I built an ecommerce site, banking sites. Three of my websites won awards at this time. My work here involved customer service, sales, web server setup and management both UNIX and windows.Interconnect now Internet solutions is where i made the leap from client-server programming to web programming and management.Move – NIC Bank website – award winning siteProject involved design and development of a website which would market and allow the banks client to conduct banking business online as permitted by law. This was the first bank in Kenya to open weekends and after 3.00 pm weekdays. The site was a basic site the system had forms that intelligently changed the options based on previously selected options. Cookies and JavaScript came to play quite a bit. The main scripts used were php and most data was stored in cookies then emailed or stored in text files.Role played: Developer, user InterphaseImperial BankWhile at inter connect I developed the imperial bank website, developing amongst other things an online calculator able to simulate the payment of loans over user defined entries. The email form was also interactive providing new options based on a user’s selection, the forms were driven by java programming. Role played: project management, client liaisonCerebral Palsy siteEvery so often I do a website at no cost and after picking a charitable organization, one of the more memorable sites was the cerebral palsy site where I was able to work with interested parties to produce a site that was more about giving back my skills to my community than making money. African FX LtdI was in a team that developed a medical system able to interphase to an x-ray machine and store x-ray images. The system also passed financial data to SAP and used paradox and oracle as backend databases. This was a system built in Kenya for Kenyans and revolutionized how other software companies built medical software catering for patients from inpatients to outpatients and sub systems to manage dependants at various levels of hierarchy in organizations.Medical FX – medical systemThe project involved building a medical system capable of integrating financials to SAP and also had the capability of storing x-rays in a database as they were taken. The system linked all areas of the medical process to one single system and also catered for dependents (family members) this system re-defined how Kenyan medical systems were written. Pentium Systems Built modem device drivers for clients to be able to connect to the internet and automatically dial their ISP using phone lines. I was also in a team that built a demonstration kit for East African Industries (Unilever), which was simply a system able to control the on and off action of a fan using a sensor and data transmitted from a computer system via the parallel port. I was able to run a vibrant business handling sales, technical issues.Most of my work here was setting up computer systems and networks.In Pentium Systems i begun to develop and sell visual basic applications one of the more notable ones was a video billing system i had developed during my period at strathmore college

Barclays Bank As a shares clerk I was able to built a prototype system which the bank was able to take over and build to run the day to day needs of the registry office. Some of the problems solved were being able to print dividends lists internally instead of sending the data to an external IT firm.
