I work at AC3E's Technology Transfer Unit, focusing my work in the Business Development of R&D+i endeavors. This involves the prospection and conceptualization of R&D projects, and a direct relationship with the client's stakeholders, catering to both industry-driven initiatives (Market Pull, via Contract Research) and academia-led ventures (Technology Push, through licensing or public funding). Consequently, we've effectively managed and executed over 150 applied research projects in various industrial sectors, including electrical, electronic, general services, mining, transportation, and logistics, among others.

We develop interactive experiences for art, entertainment, and education. We aim for the transformation of the expectators into the protagonists of our experiences.

Manager of the technical team of the company. Responsible for the Research and Development of new products and services. The position also requires direct contact with the clients and end users, who defines the requirements and provides the feedback that the technical team uses to improve and facilitate, in environments and companies with a well-known lack of innovation culture (such as mining), the introduction of the new developed products.

Project Engineer, Artificial Vision Specialist. Development and upgrade of Machine Vision algorithms used in mining applications, such as purity analysis in copper samples. The newly developed technologies replace the traditional chemical analyses to significantly decrease the waiting time of the results, improving the online monitoring of the involved processes. As a result of these improvements, two scientific articles were written and presented in the Copper 2016 conference, held in Kobe, Japan.

Development of software tools for the generation of artificial stimuli for the study of the retinal response. Development of scripts for the packing of videos with dephs of 1 to 12 bits into 24-bit images, in order to use them with a UV DLP. Software tools developed in Visual C++ (for Windows GUI), C (for Arduino) and Python.

Research focused on artificial intelligence and robotics. The thesis proposal consists on a bio-inspired architecture for a social robot controller, a new research which tries to bridge the gap between Psychology and Engineering.

Development of a micro robot as a testing base for algorithms of artificial intelligence and swarm behavior. Study of the psychology of human thought in the context of artificial intelligence for its potential use in the development of a reflective robot swarm.

Intern at IDAV, Institute for Data Analysis and Visualization. Working on Remote Sensing and data classification. Use of statistical analysis in conjunction with supervised learning (random forest of decision trees)

Updating and improvement of a software simulator of self-reflective robots. Fabrication of a replica of Quadratot (a four legged spider-like robot, originally designed by Juan Cristóbal Zagal, PhD), as a test platform of algorithms and for benchmarking of the simulator.The work is part of an Inter-University development with Federico Santa Maria Technical University in order to create a Master’s thesis proposal.

Development of a tool to geo-reference a stitched image obtained from a set of images taken by an RC helicopter, for posterior displaying as an overlapped layer in Google Earth. Analysis of multispectral aerial images of orchards, tree segmentation and automatic tagging based on texture and NDVI. Development in C++ (using OpenCV library and Windows Forms) and Java (programming ImageJ plugins).

Held lab tutoring sessions for courses ELO212 (Digital Systems Lab, two semesters) and ELO312 (Computer Architectures lab, one semester). Reinforced knowledge about use and programming of FPGA (Spartan3) and low-level programming.

Development of scripts to detect marked cells (batch programming in ImageJ, and use of Phyton). Development of an automated software to intercept Windows environment events (BASIC programming). Conditioning of Weizmann and KTH video datasets to specific applications.
