About Fabienne Defaux
Passionate about teaching French to foreigners and in love with Paris and its art of living, I co-founded Novexpat to help expatriates better integrate into the capital.🔙 In 2018, my partner Pierre-Yves and I decided to gather our strengths to offer French lessons specially dedicated to expatriates.After 2 years as a FLE teacher in Paris, I noticed that the classes mixed diplomats, students, tourists and expatriates. The latter needing French for day-to-day conversations, courses based on a primarily grammatical and romantic approach to the language did not suit them! They came out of the classroom still taken aback by everyday conversations.This is when Pierre-Yves, web developer and super marketing project manager, popped the question: "I would like us to create a business together! » ☺️On the strength of 5 years of French teaching at that point and having been involved in educational innovation projects, I said "Yes!" »🚀 And we had a clear vision of our project: Create French programs 100% dedicated to expatriates!5 years later,🙌 we support hundreds of expatriates in their Parisian integration and their confidence to converse in their daily lives🤝 we collaborate with a small team of 8 French teachers🎓 we are certified Qualiopi😌 Parisian during the week, hiker at the weekend… Apart from education, I can talk for hours on end of the Cévennes and picking wild plants 🌱

Mini-group programmes can happen in our classroom located next to the Eiffel Tower.We are happy to work with individuals, all-sized companies, embassies and international organizations based in Paris and its surroundings.
