Before concluding my doctoral studies in the field of Cybersecurity Law and Economics at TU Delft, I completed a Master’s Degree in Economics and a professional Master (II level) in Governance of Information Systems at ROMA TRE University. I have gained experience in research at the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, in consultancy at Ernst&Young, and in the industrial sector in the FIAT group (now FCA). I am President at FORMIT – Fondazione per la Ricerca sulla Migrazione e Integrazione delle Tecnologie, where I've carried out several studies and projects in the field of Critical Infrastructures, Cybersecurity, CBRN Risk Management, Economics of Information Security, and Policing over the last 15 years.I am President and Delegate for Educational Offering, Research and Communication at Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma (UNINT). I'm a chartered certified accountant and financial auditor. I'm currently also an expert for the European Commission and in the list of Individual External Experts to Assist ENISA in its strategic objectives 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 (i.e., Cybersecurity as an integral part of EU policies, Effective cooperation amongst operational actors within the Union in case of massive cyber incidents, Cutting-edge competencies and capabilities in cybersecurity across the Union, Foresight on emerging and future cybersecurity challenges, Efficient and effective cybersecurity information and knowledge management for EU).Among my research areas there are 'cybersecurity legislation and economics', with 2 of my papers quoted in the ‘Economic Report of the President’ the White House (2019) and the coordination of the observatory on data breach and privacy violations established by FORMIT, and 'Technology foresight for digital policy', with my recent report for the European Committee of the Regions among the top publications of EU.Among the working groups I participated in, I was appointed Member of the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers working group on cyberspace security, i.e. “Gruppo di studio per la sicurezza dell’utilizzo dello spazio cibernetico”, I acted as an external expert for the EU Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA) Working Group on Economics of Security, and for the European Public-Private Partnership for Resilience (EP3R) Task Force on Trusted Information Sharing (TF-TIS). I was guest co-editor of 2 special issues of the IEEE Security & Privacy on Economics of Cyber-security. Outside of work, I enjoy kitesurfing and acting. I'm an International Kiteboarding Organization instructor and theatre actor.
