My first step into software development was back in 2001 during my first working experience. Back then, my task was to control the production processes and certify the quality of the products produced by a small metalworking company.Almost all the quality control procedures used to take place on pre-printed forms, excel sheets and word documents. Especially in this kind of companies, there was a huge lack of informatization, so I started thinking about a solution able to re-organize all the information and make the process more efficient. It was at this very moment that I first encountered the FileMaker Pro software. I started just reading the manual and using the started solution provided by the application with which I tried to take the first steps, learn the tool and do simple exercises to understand its potential.And this is how my journey into the software developing started.After this very first experience, I continued studying and utilizing the platform during my university courses at Politecnico di Milano and starting from 2004 the development of custom apps with FileMaker platform became my profession.During my 15 years of experience with FileMaker, I lead the development of bespoke software for a lot of exciting clients operating in many different fields, such as automotive, metalworking, mechanical engineering, retail, logistics and delivery, media and marketing, entertainment, medical and more.What I love about being a software developer - and I truly believe in - is to be able to get in contact with different clients and do my best to understand their needs, find a creative solution to their problems and create the simplest and most efficient custom app to help them improve their business.
