At Add Technologies, I worked as an outsourced developer for the AXA insurance company with the re-development of the old company software written in COBOL and running on an old mainframe to new applications for Microsoft Windows with databases on Linux servers. This project involved rewriting the software in C++ for Linux.

During the five year period I worked for the company, I began as a junior developer and later as team leader in various projects, such as:• Developing the main company software at that time called Curio for Windows 9.x. This software implements a number of security features for Windows 9.x workstations, including user and file system access control, remote management of workstation security parameters, strong authentication via smartcard and fingerprints and so on.• Leading and designing the secure communications project for the point-of-sale (POS) machines for SmartNet (www.smartnet.com.br). This project was created to design and implement a high-security communication protocol between the remote point-of-sale machines with the company’s server to transfer the monetary values of the transactions made by their clients. Another similar project was developed for one of the company’s subsidiaries to implement a high security communication protocol using digital certificates and smartcards to secure the communication channel to and from a corporate business application and its servers.• Desktop and web application development using frameworks and languages such as C++, ASP, HTML and SQL Server 7.0/2000 databases.
