• Identification and evaluation of cost reduction and product improvement ideas within the braking slip control systems product line for:o technical feasibilityo financial benefito customer acceptance• Responsible for participating as a Core VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) team member including:o assistance to Product Engineering to develop ideaso Program Management for driving implementation of projectso Sales in interfacing with OEMs to receive acceptance of projects, and achieving cost saving targets.• Work in a cross functional team environment to drive ideas through completion. Interface and cooperation with internal and external groups, both regionally and globally, including Program Management, Core and Applications Engineering, Sales, Finance, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Customers.

• Lead in QIPs at the plant level responsible to analyze and recommend suppliers to place on QIP based on but not limited to Vendor Information Network data.• Help to make sure that the plant is properly using CTS and making proper use of Controlled Shipping.• Review 8D concerns, via the VIN QCCAR system, schedule audits as needed to confirm implementation and documentation of corrective actions.• Confirm that supplier improvement tools by Reynosa Receiving inspection that supports P/L PPM and NCT goals.• Reduce PPM from 15 ppm in 2008 to 2 ppm 2009 for all suppliers. • Confirm self-certification of assigned plants for internal PPAPs and compliance to TRW system and procedures via training and auditing.• Review PPAP’s for all internal suppliers and PPAP Revalidations for both internal and external suppliers.• Confirm TRW Procedures are being followed via scheduled audits and training of all suppliers

• Reduced Supplier PPM from an average of 350 to 55, by focusing on systemic resolution of supplier processes as well as Lean Manufacturing implementation, • Increased supplier base responsibility from 15 suppliers to 42 suppliers due to improved supplier quality and reduction in supplier PPM.• Improved Supplier Quality concern response from an average of 90 days to 24 hours by implementing training of Supplier Quality Managers and Engineers on 8D and 5 why’s techniques of problem solving as well as improving analysis of process related problems and increased lean manufacturing implementation.• Improve APQP with suppliers and with multidisciplinary team in support of program timing. Includes follow-up and resolution of open issues prior to tooling and/or PPAP.

• Perform trouble-shooting operations and improve process, using DOE, set-up, and trouble shoot secondary equipment such as, hot stamping, and robotics.• Optimize data collection of process information in order to optimize processes for over 200 new, rebuilt, and transfer tools using the Manufacturing monitoring system, Nicollet. • Establish Process technician training program including but not limited to in-house training courses.• Manufacturing Business Unit Manager as well as additional roles as Process Engineer & Materials Planner/Liaison Developing Master Schedules ordering materials for production and training and directing Engineering for sampling troubleshooting. Multi management role.
