Ho iniziato a lavorare presso SPEA S.P.A. come Senior Firmware Developer nel mese di Aprile 2022. Da allora, mi occupo della programmazione firmware per i sistemi di collaudo automatico di semiconduttori, utilizzando componenti Xilinx e Texas. I linguaggi che uso principalmente sono C e arm assembly. Per lo sviluppo del firmware, mi avvalgo di strumenti come Git, Jira e Xilinx SDK. Il mio ruolo richiede una buona capacità di analisi, problem solving e collaborazione con il team di progetto. Sono sempre interessato a imparare nuove tecnologie e a migliorare le mie competenze.

Attualmente lavoro come sviluppatore firmware presso un’azienda specializzata nella progettazione e realizzazione di macchinari di test per semiconduttori e schede elettroniche in tutti i campi di applicazione (dall’automotive alla biomedica).L’incarico che ricopro all’interno dell’azienda è quello di sviluppare e di migliorare firmware su sistemi che hanno il compito di eseguire test analogici e digitali su dispositivi come sensori, memorie o MEMS.

I work as a Firmware Developer in company specialized in designing and manufacturing of the most accurate test equipment for microchips and electronic boards (typically in automotive field).My job is to program the non-volatile memory of costumer's devices through the processor installed in our systems.In particular this activity requires simulating the programming algorithm and its communication protocol in order to upload the customer's firmware inside the micro-controller.The main activities and responsibilities I’m involved in are:- Developing firmware in C and Assembly languages (IAR or Eclipse)- Developing software in C# or C++ in order to test software or firmware.- Firmware development for costumer's devices (ARM devices, PIC devices, etc...).- Manage and coordinate the team (planning the jobs to do and respect deadlines)- Debug and fix software or electrical issues.- Help the customers to fix issues (in English or Italian).- Reverse engineering in assembly- Simulate the common communication protocols and check them with the oscilloscope(ex. UART, SPI, I2C, JTAG, ...)- Make tool to manage database in MySQL.

I'm participating as a firmware and PHP developer at this start-up company during my free time.The project ImpedenceApp that I’m following is a portable and wearable impedance meter that measures body water, body fat and lean mass. The activity I do is to develop the firmware which will communicate with the mobile phone via Bluetooth module and the PHP server side code which will synchronize the data measured.
