Fábio F. Neves is an associate professor at Santa Catarina State University, where he has been coordinating the Laboratory of Algae Cultivation and Biotechnology (www.udesc.br/ceres/lcba) since 2014. He is also currently the leader of the Applied Phycology Research Group at UDESC. Fábio has been involved in organizing technology-based companies related to the Algae Biotechnology sector. He founded Séston Biotecnologia in 2010, a pioneering startup in Algae Biotechnology in Brazil. Currently, he serves as an advisor to startups such as AlgaBloom Microalgas (www.algabloom.com.br), Alga&nzyme (www.algaenzyme.com), Spirulinas do Sul Catarinense, and AlgaEquipments.
