In-house expertise in urban planning and urban health for projects, studies and publications coordinated by the Housing and Land Management unit.The main tasks in the three months as an intern followed by three months as a consultant include:- Conduct a study on housing affordability challenges in the UNECE region (prepare the survey, follow-up with respondents in relevant ministries of all Member states, analyse data, write a survey report on improving housing affordability in the UNECE region);- Assist in research feeding into the cross-sectoral nexus publication "People-smart Sustainable Cities for all ages";- Provide logistical assistance in organising the Forum of Mayors which took place in October 2020;- Write the outline of thematic policy briefs for a multi-sectoral approach on formalising informal settlements.

Along with a team of architects, landscape designers, geographers and engineers, I contributed to the production and/or revision of local planning documents for communities in Vaud and Geneva. These documents include:- local development strategy plans and masterplans- local zoning plans and laws- pedestrian mobility network masterplans- other planning documents related to smaller scale projects (for neighbourhoods, public spaces, etc.)My main roles were to:- collect and order statistical and GIS data from relevant regional governments, and analyse the data in the context of territorial assessments- organise and facilitate meetings with city councils : help prepare the keynote presentation, assist my colleagues in managing the session, write the transcript)- work with the internal graphics and illustration team to produce land assessment and strategic land development concept maps- write select chapters of master planning documents- adapt and rewrite parts of planning documents in response to requests from government technical institutions- contribute to the production of pedestrian mobility network masterplansI was also active in data estimations and analyses and map productions for a project led by the company's international department, concerning masterplans for five major cities in Madagascar.
