About Fabiola Barreto

Hi there! Currently, I am working as the Director of Policy and Advocacy at Youth Rise Texas. In my role I work with youth to develop their leadership through policy work as well as plan and execute our legislative strategy. Most recently, to that I had the honor of working as the Austin Policy Coordinator at Workers Defense Action Fund where I worked with member leaders to pass policies that would improve their living conditions at the local level. Throughout my work and university experience, I have been able to refine my research skills as well as develop myself as an effective communicator and critical thinker. Further, I have ben able to gain firsthand experience on various levels of policy making. I hope to be able to leverage these skills throughout my entire career.
