Created in May 2020, the National Secretariat for Para Sport is responsible for promoting and articulating Para Sports actions aimed at grating access of people with disabilities to the practice of sports in all its manifestations, from initiation to high performance, in all age groups and for the various disabilities, regardless of the status of those practices.

Santa Cruz, Bolivia

Santa Cruz de la Sierra is home to an estimated number of 30.000 Brazilian citizens, most of which are medical students. In addition, another 75.000 visit the city each year, due to its proximity of the Brazilian frontier. For those reasons, the Consulate General in Santa Cruz de la Sierra is one of the most demanding Posts of the Brazilian Foreign Service.• Head of Legal and Consular Assistance Departments- Organized a multidisciplinary team composed by locally hired lawyer and social assistant to provide a more comprehensive consular service to the Brazilian community in Santa Cruz.- Guided and advised members of the Brazilian community in Santa Cruz and their families in the context of medical and police emergencies, immigration concerns and legal matters.- Maintained a courteous relationship with the judicial, immigration and police authorities of the Department of Santa Cruz.• Local Administrator for the 2018 Presidential Elections- Responsible for supervising and ensuring the integrity of the electoral process at all voting sessions in Santa Cruz de la Sierra and transmitting the ballot results to the Electoral Justice in Brazil.

New York, New York, United States

The Consulate General in New York is the biggest consular office of the Brazilian Foreign Service due an estimated number of Brazilian living 350.000 Brazilian citizens living within its jurisdiction.• Head of Civil Registry and Notarial Acts Department- Reorganized structure to implement more efficient procedures for the registry of consular reports (e.g. birth, marriage and death certificates) and other documents (i.e. consular authentication, power of attorney, taxpayer registration). The regular processing time was reduced from 15 days to 5 days.• Head of Protocol Department- Revised procedures to ensure a less demanding adaptation of members of the Brazilian diplomatic corps and their families to the new Post.- Served as Liaison Officer to the U. S. State Department in New York State in matters related to the Vienna Conventions on Diplomatic and Consular Relations.

The Brazilian community living within the jurisdiction of the Consulate General in Sydney – around 20.000 – is mainly composed by middle class students on a gap year to study/work in Australia and young professionals on a more permanent resident status.• Head Consular Department- Revised internal procedures to ensure documentation efficiency (visas, consular registry reports and passports), which resulted in a significant decrease in the processing time of documents.- Implemented and coordinated a multidisciplinary team that provided psychological and legal assistance to the Brazilian community in Sydney, thus providing a consular assistance catered to the needs of the Brazilian community.- Advised and supported Brazilian citizens and their families in the context of medical and police emergencies, immigration concerns and legal matters.

New Delhi Area, India

Even though the Brazilian community living in India does not exceed 1.000 members, the well-established diplomatic and commercial partnerships between Brazil in India has resulted in an increasing in demand for visas at the Embassy in Delhi.• Head Visa Department- Introduced new guidelines for the approval of non-immigrant and immigrant visas, such as mandatory personal interview with visa applicants and other measures that prevented unlawful immigration to Brazil.• Head of Administration Department- Worked alongside Indian authorities on ceremonial events related to official visits of the President of Brazil and Minister of Foreign Affairs to India in two occasions.

Supervised administrative and financial audits at Embassies/Consulates of Brazil in Nigeria, South Africa, Senegal, Benin, Venezuela, Paraguay, Chile and Italy, which improved the cost-effectiveness and transparency of tender processes for the acquisition of public assets by the Posts. I also outlined and ministered “Compliance with Public Assets Laws and Regulations” classes at the Administration Training Program for Diplomats.

As part of the Master in International Sports Law, I worked on an extensive auditing that involved accessing Sportradar’s betting sales contracts. The project aimed at enabling the company to revisit outdated clauses and renegotiate more favorable conditions in ongoing contracts. The new clauses would become standard for future deals, thus increasing revenues and achieving contractual efficiency.
