Clean Cooking Technologies is a tech start-up that aims to provide millions of families with affordable technical and software solutions to finance and utilize clean cooking. Our goal is to replace 1 Billion meals cooked with dirty fuels with safe, zero emissions, green-powered electric stoves by the end of 2026. As Founder my responsibilities are to build and coordinate the team; co-design and initiate the startup operations of the organization; supervise the engineering activities, the strategic partnership and the business lines definition (PAYG, carbon credits, etc.).

-Supported UNHCR in decarbonizing its global infrastructures (550 offices & buildings in 125 countries). -Developed business case studies / case evidence to green operations in Jordan (2 locations) and Mauritania (3 locations); -Collected and compiled information on the energy profiles and policies of countries; -Analyzed the status, provided technical, policy and program support / guidance on energy efficiency, renewable energy (RE) technologies (PV-solar, wind) and energy storage systems to mitigate variability;-Performed feasibility studies, designs and sizing; costing and budgeting; -Supported operations in project management, planning and designs to achieve carbon neutrality;-Organized and conducted of energy audits and development of energy-related business cases;-Coordinated with other units (at HQ, regional and country level), private sector actors and public institutions to identify energy solutions to enhance energy security in delegations; -Provided technical and policy guidance on power supply and energy efficiency; knowledge sharing, lesson learned and best practice dissemination. Inputs for new business models;-Inputs for plans of actions and programs related to renewable energy and energy efficiency; -Helped in facilitating discussion with colleagues and partners in developing projects to address energy / environmental needs of the offices within the framework of UNHCR’s policies, procedures and guidelines; -Liaised with Senior Management to develop new approaches relating to identified innovative financing solutions.

Led and collaborated in R&D, field studies, energy audits, deployment and implementation of innovative cooking solutions and renewable energy in Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana and India, in collaboration with NGOs, private sector, universities, institutions and others. Results presented at international conferences such as: IEEE and COP22, COP23, COP24, COP25 (COP - The United Nation Climate Change Conference) and published on scientific journals.-Topics: clean cooking; renewable energy; clean energy innovations; energy audits; mitigation strategies; capacity building; climate change; -Managed an international and local team/s, trained local communities on the construction of Efficient Cooking Stoves (ECS).-Collaborated in the deployment of ECS for the benefit of 25.000+ inhabitants;-Energy efficiency deployment / custom made solutions design / GHG emissions reduction; promote innovation technology;-Data collection, action plans / milestones indication and monitoring / evaluation; carbon credits; -Proposal developing / writing. EU Technical Assistance Facility for the “Sustainable Energy for All” Initiative (SE4ALL) – Western and Central Africa.

Co-author of an advanced pre-feasibility study for electrification and clean cooking solutions for 500 rural schools in Rwanda, for the European Commission Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development (DG DEVCO).-Field study / research and simulation; -Provided recommendations / advise for renewable energy policy, roadmap and program support;-Provided suggestions for the implementation of development projects to promote energy investment;-Technology scouting; technological gains; performance and energy efficiency evaluation for energy transitions;-Smart data collection systems design and monitoring; -Business analysis; business models evaluation; business cases development; identified innovative financing solutions;-Collaboration / coordination / activities with: Government of Rwanda, EU/EUD, WFP, GIZ, private sector.

Responsible for the construction of Wet Air Oxidation plant for Saudi Aramco’s refinery, in Jizan, Saudi Arabia.• Coordinated two teams of 20 workers each, for the construction and site assembly of a Wet Air Oxidation plant for the biggest Saudi Aramco’s refinery, in Jizan, Saudi Arabia.• Responsible for the full delivery of the project, coordinating: purchasing, quality, construction, logistic departments and site erection activities and commissioning.

Successfully delivered 30+ projects with a total value 60+ M€, related to Medium Power Transformers (rated 150 MVA–275 kV) for wind farms, solar (PV) fields and hydropower generation, in 15 countries. • Coordinate project units to guarantee on-time and on-budget energy projects while maintaining quality standards (design issuance, design approval, purchase of materials, production, testing, shipping and commissioning). Provide instructions and actively motivated team members to meet project objectives.• Collect data on project statuses, revise and issue periodic progress reports and provide up-to-date indications on the performance.• Consult with customers on a regular basis to understand their needs and research the accounts' cultural context to ensure satisfaction.• Administer coordination between the Post Sales Department, the Site Supervisor and sub-contractors.

• Supervised 10 graduate and undergraduate students on renewable energy related projects.• Built a novel advanced ultracapacitors (UCs) using carbon nano-onion (CNO) electrode structures.• Conducted and organized research-related projects on wind power deployment, energy storage systems and green mobility.• Developed step-by-step wind power guidelines for farmers and small businesses, employing wind technology that assisted users evaluate wind resources, indicated the optimal turbines to be used.• Spearheaded projected plan to install 20 mini-wind turbines (3.5 kW), 10 meteorological towers and collected data systems in health-care centers, schools, and farms.

Innovation and Technology Transfer Assistant – Organization and management of technology transfer projects between the research centers of the Politecnico di Milano University and the private and public sector. Identification of experts and requests of technical expertise for renewable energy applications. The projects focused on photovoltaics (PV), solar thermal for heating and sanitary usage, energy savings for private and public buildings.
