Fabio Nascimento is a 20 years experienced aviation maintenance professional. He is Director of Supply Chain at Aircraft Propeller Service, being responsible for materials planning, procurement, shipping, receiving, warehouse, new vendor development and logistics in general, such as import/export, managing direct relationship with brokers, freight forwarders and couriers in US and other countries where APS operates, such as France, Brazil and Malaysia.Before Fabio's current position, he worked for Latam Airlines as Senior Powerplant Shop Coordinator for four years, managing a team of 47 employees of engineers, logistics and planning analysts, mechanics and quality control inspectors, all specialists in Engines and APUs for the A320 family and the wide bodies 787, 777 and 767. At this position he was also responsible for the disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repairs, assembly and tests for all the engines and APUs of Latam Airlines fleet, including in field inspections and repair team.Previously working as General Manager of APS Brazil, Fabio was responsible for all the South America company operations, responding directly to the President/CEO of the company in USA. He was responsible for the local P&L, leading a multifunctional team of operations, business development, supply chain, sales, customer service, quality and continuous improvement. He was responsible for APS company startup in Brazil, growing the company from 1 to more than 40 customers, dealing with different Brazilian government entities, and multiple vendors. Also, Nascimento successfully implemented ANAC and EASA 145 repair station certifications. He was ANAC and EASA Accountable Manager for APS and company legal responsible on APS Articles of Association, managing and approving contracts, payments, and other administrative business aspects.Working for UTC Aerospace Systems as Operations Manager, he was responsible for the Aerostructures and Actuations business units, new product introduction and facilities maintenance.Fabio is Master of Science in Business Strategy Management from FIA Business School, Aviation Management Certified from Embry-Riddle, International Executive MBA from FGV and Ohio University (Athens/USA), MBA in Project Management from FGV and bachelor’s in production engineering from UNICEP. He is certified as PMP - Project Management Professional from PMI, A&P ANAC licensed aircraft mechanic, certified in Aircraft Accident Investigation from CENIPA. He is winner of the 2017 Next Gen Award 40 under 40 - Aircraft Top Maintenance Professionals from AMT magazine.
