With over 25 years of experience in the bio-pharmaceutical industry, I am a seasoned executive with a passion for bringing new medicines to patients with rare diseases. I currently lead the global medicine team, the asset strategy, and the clinical business development at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a global leader in complement biology and rare diseases.In this role, I am responsible for driving the development and commercialization strategies for multiple investigational compounds across various indications in the rare neurology and immunology space. I also leverage my strong business acumen and drug development expertise to support and evaluate business development opportunities across all Alexion's therapeutic areas. Additionally, I manage and motivate cross-functional teams in complex global matrix organizations, and establish and nurture internal and external collaborations with key stakeholders, governance bodies, functional experts, academia, regulatory and HTA bodies, and external partners.Throughout my career, I have demonstrated success in delivering value to organizations by progressing pipeline assets, implementing innovative patient-centric development strategies, interacting with global regulatory bodies and health technology agencies, and closing in-licensing deals and co-development partnerships. I have also co-founded a start-up company providing digital solutions for collaborative sourcing and clinical trial management, and led a department involved in clinical trial safety monitoring.
